Born and raised in Flagstaff, Arizona, I am a proud fourth generation Arizonan. Desiring to explore the United States, I graduated from Oldfields School in Maryland, earned my Bachelor of Arts from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas and my Master of Education from the University of South Carolina. Returning to Northern Arizona in 2014, I moved to Clarkdale in 2017.
My husband Michael Pierce and I selected Clarkdale with the intention of starting our family in a tight knit community with strong values and opportunities for our family to grow and thrive. Michael is actively involved in the Arizona wine industry as the Director of Enology and Viticulture at Yavapai College and as the Winemaker for Bodega Pierce, one of three Clarkdale wineries.
Professionally, I have held a number of positions in higher education. Most recently, I served five years as the Council Director of Girls on the Run of Northern Arizona expanding the program from fourteen teams in two counties, to over 40 teams in five counties and doubling the operating budget through fundraising. Desiring to spend more time in Clarkdale, I now work remotely as a health coach.
Prior to my election to the Town Council, I served on the Clarkdale Parks and Rec Commission for three years. My strong financial background comes from serving on a number of non-profit boards for both local and national organizations. I am a certified Dare to Lead ™ facilitator bringing evidence based principles of leadership to everything I do.
I care deeply for the Clarkdale community and am committed to serving my neighbors. I look forward to using my voice for planning and collective decision making for the future of our town.
