Robyn Prud'homme-Bauer

Robyn and her husband, Henri, have been residents of Clarkdale AZ since 1997. I am the owner of my family's business, Alcora Marble, a custom bath and kitchen products business that has been located in Clarkdale since 1979 and owned by my family for 36 years. We chose to move to Clarkdale because it is was and still is a warm and welcoming small town with a rich history. A small town where we could live and work, enjoy the natural beauty around us, and build the valued friendships that make Clarkdale our home.

My education and business background is in business marketing and organizational development. I have a BS in Business from San Francisco State University. Most of my consulting work was with nonprofit organizations in the areas of leadership development, organizational management and community outreach. For the past 24 years, I have been in the manufacturing and construction business as the manager and now owner of Alcora Marble. Yes, I have my own tool box and hard hat!

I have served on the Town of Clarkdale's Planning Commission, Board of Adjustment and Design Review Board. My fun Clarkdale activities include being a part of the Clarkdale Downtown Business Alliance - organizing and participating in the Clarkdale Downtown Block Parties, Clarktoberfest and the Clarkdale Car Show. I have also been a part of a wonderful team of artists that put together the annual Made In Clarkdale art show and the Northern Arizona Student Art Show.

I am also a long-time member of the League of Women Voters, holding many positions including local and state president in California and Arizona and on the board of directors of the League of Women Voters Greater Verde Valley. I am a co-founder and past chairperson of the Verde Valley Regional Economic Organization. And I am currently on the board of directors of the Clarkdale Foundation.

As your mayor, I will work to preserve Clarkdale's small town community spirit, Clarkdale's history, and the natural environment of the Verde River and mountains that surround Clarkdale.

We can preserve our small town attitude while we plan to provide jobs, schools, housing opportunities for all families who live here or want to live here. And we can assist businesses that want to expand here or want to come to Clarkdale with jobs that will sustain us.

My priorities will focus on:

  • A fiscally prudent town government efficiently providing services for residents with a strong and engaged town staff.
  • Safe and attainable housing for all families.
  • Building a strong resilient economy that can survive challenges, with living wage jobs and an increased tax base.
  • Continued dedication to the preservation of our natural resources, the arts, our history, our community events and keep Clarkdale a small town.

My door (a visit, an email, a letter, a text) is always OPEN for a conversation, a chat, or just to listen.
