The Department of Public Works ensures that the Town's public facilities are maintained and kept in excellent condition. Our department manages

and directs the policies, programs and activities for seven associated divisions:

• Buildings

• Grounds

• Streets

• Alleys

• Cemetery

• Fleet management

• Engineering, Inspection

• Right-A-Way Permit Issuance

Those Divisions are responsible for construction, repair, and daily maintenance of Town streets, alleys, sidewalks, storm drains, curbs, trees, buildings

and related facilities including administrative duties associated with the Valley View Cemetery. The Fleet Division manages the maintenance, repair and

replacement of Town vehicles and equipment, which include maintenance for Police Department, Town Departmental vehicles along with IGA's for Clarkdale-

Jerome Elementary School, the City of Cottonwood and the Clarkdale Fire District for maintenance services.

The Department also provides private developments with oversight engineering review to ensure that their projects are constructed according to Town

specifications along with performing inspections of subdivisions and private development improvements.

Capital improvement projects, such as new street construction, overlays, chip seal and building projects are coordinated by the Public Works Department.
