2016 CONCERTS IN THE PARK
Clarkdale Parks and Recreation has been providing enjoyable free concerts since 2001. Every concert is geared
to provide an evening of family fun for all ages to enjoy. This year’s series includes a special pre-season concert
and eight concerts throughout the summer months offering a wide variety of genres. Concerts are performed
from the Clarkdale Town Park Gazebo located at 1001 Main Street and are FREE to the public. The Town’s free
concerts are the perfect way to spend an enjoyable evening in the park with family, friends and neighbors.

Maivish explores the landscape of time-honored melodies and songs, and
comes home along new pathways, making music with vibrant energy and
delight. Gathering traditions from the British Isles, Ireland and America with
a mix of original compositions, their performance is infused with lush vocal
inspired interplay, and captivating spirit.
Broome who have been performing together as a duo for over a decade. Maivish frequently includes Matthew

SENTIMENTAL JOURNEY BIG BAND is a classic 40’s Swing Era Big Band
playing your dancing favorites made famous by Glen Miller, Tommy Dorsey,
Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Les Brown and
many more. They perform the original music and arrangements which have
made the Big Band Era timeless. Sentimental Journey has kept the Big Band
tradition available for over 20 years. Members come from Prescott, Camp
Verde, Cottonwood, Lake Montezuma, Sedona and Flagstaff and are motivated by their true love of the music.

JUNE 18 - TROTTER'S WAKE IRISH BAND
7pm - 9pm
TROTTERS WAKE IRISH BAND is a five piece vocal acoustic band
consisting of Drew Monasky on Acoustic Guitar/Mandolin, Anna Merritt on
Electric Piano/Bass, Sandy Lineweaver on Keyboard, Cyndy Gaughan on
Bodhran, and Megyn Neff on fiddle. Trotters Wake performs a mixture
of Irish drinking songs, Irish and Celtic ballads, and traditional Irish
tunes (jigs, reels, etc.). They also can accommodate some of your
American favorites as well, given enough time to prepare. They are
located in Glendale, Arizona (USA) and play in the Greater Phoenix
Metropolitan area and throughout Arizona. They have more fun playing

JULY 9 - RD OLSON BAND

Singer, songwriter band leader R.D.Olson is the REAL DEAL dubbed
that not by himself, but by those that that he's touched. R.D. Olson
Blues band is just that, the REAL DEAL! R. D. and his band play
blues with respect to the past and a good kick into the new millennium.
You can’t help but feel a live performance resonate in your soul -
R.D.’s 30 plus years of blues experience gained by stints with Luther
Allison, Chico Chism and Buddy Reed. The R.D.Olson Blues Band is a
five piece band comprised of harmonica, guitar, bass, drums and Hammond
B3 organ for added authenticity. They won the 2014 Phoenix Blues Society's blues challenge and will represent

JULY 23 - CADILLAC ANGELS

CADILLAC ANGELS is one of the best rockabilly bands in the
land. Although based in Arizona, the Cadillac Angels hail from
Santa Barbara and have left their mark on the music scene since
the early ’80s. The band, formally known as the Roadhouse Rockers
with front man and creative genius Tony Balbinot, energizes the crowd
with a kind of music that has managed to survive 50 years of semi-
obscurity and a few bursts of popularity. The roots, rockabilly, and
surf-rock outfit released Two Blocks Off Main, their 15th recording.

AUGUST 6 - COME BACK BUDDY

Come Back Buddy is a 3-piece rock-n-roll band inspired by the
legendary "Buddy Holly and the Crickets." The trio's repertoire includes
the music of many artists from the 50's era including Elvis Presley,
Chuck Berry, Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, Ricky Nelson, and of course,
Accompanied by Janine Randall on bass and Don Rinehart, Austin
Case or Tim Kimbro on drums. Dean Randall on Tenor Sax joins Come Back Buddy on stage at select

AUGUST 20 - ROMEN BUFFALO

Hailing from the Sonoran Desert, Romen Buffalo & The Loyal
Order is from Phoenix, AZ. The pack consists of “Romen Buffalo” on
guitar and vocals, “Paddy Bison” pickin’ on banjo and guitar, “Scotty Steer”
jamming on dobro, and “Smokey Joe The Bull” keeping the bottom end
on upright bass. Collectively they are four bovines that enjoy playing
stringed instruments and combining their talents to collaborate on roots-
based music. Some may think it odd to see musically inclined Buffalos
in the southwest desert but to the people (aka “The Herd”) who have
experienced a show they tend to believe. Their music is a mix of bluegrass, folk, and Americana – making The
Herd tap their toes, kick up their heels and/or dance. The bovine’s influences include Bill Monroe, Flat & Scruggs,
Hank Williams, Tony Rice, J.D. Crowe, Bella Fleck, Steve Earle, Elvis Costello, Grateful Dead, and the Allman
Brothers. Currently, they are performing shows in and around AZ. They are also working on their first CD;

SEPTEMBER 3 - MATCHBOX TWENTY TOO

MATCHBOX TWENTY TOO is a note-for-note tribute band to the
well-known Matchbox 20 (pop rock). Matchbox Twenty Too has been
formed by 5 musicians including members from the popular tribute
bands “Petty Breakers” and “Wicked Garden”, so you can expect the
same high level of quality in their performance. The group hails from
San Diego, CA and consists of Jonathon Berghouse – Drums,
Obed Herrera – Bass guitar, Albert Bermudez – Lead vocals,
Eric Schink – Guitar, vocals, keys and Nathan Gillespie – Guitar.
